Are MBA degrees good from private universities?

Dear Anita, There are a lot of private universities in India. There are two aspects of your question, 1. Legal validation : Yes for all private universities which have been established u/s 2F of UGC act, the degree holds the perfect legal value 2. Qualitative education : Here the things become tricky, you need to SEE if the university has the following I right mix: Well, let me write down all the factors which finally boil down to placements: # Course curriculum, It needs to be dynamic and industry consulted then only the professionals will be developed which industry really needs. # programme delivery: Classroom teaching doesn't work anymore, it has o be experiential learning technique. # Industry interface: To have more and more interactions with industry experts, learning the things hands on and networking! # Professional enhancement: Students come from various backgrounds and culture, they may be very good in inculcating the technical skills, but they also need to clear the interviews also for taking the jobs. The soft skills, communication, interpersonal and networking skills need to be inculcated in them not only for interviews but for whole of their careers. # Faculty, the faculty which develops the curriculum and delivers the programme with right teaching pedagogy must be top notch. # Internships, entrepreneurship, community development projects etc. : They need to be integral part of curriculum so that students get hands on knowledge about real time situations in various aspects of life and business. And finally placements, since placements are considered to be the end to means, you must check if the placement track record is good or not. I Had same question when I was seeking the place for my higher studies. MBA programme comes under Mittal School of Business which is among the first 10 institutions in India to get ACBSP (USA) accreditation. Last year in MBA students got a package of max 16 Lacs per annum and the average packages were of 5 Lacs per annum. Furthermore, the best part is quality of curriculum which is really worthy and as per the industry standards. Every small content of every semester syllabus and subjects are benchmarked with the foreign universities. Moreover, the faculty members have great knowledge and wonderful skills of teaching. They are very humble and helpful at every time. Beautiful infrastructure with all updated technologies and resources creates the positive aura to work. Of course yes, private universities are really good. It is logistically not possible for all the students in India to study in Iims, thus arises the need for private institutions that can offer MBA education. Considering the fact that MBA education costly so there is some kind onus on the university part to provide the best possible jobs to its capable graduates.
