It could be better as you will get some good facilities and more opportunities due to the fact that you are in a government college. If you are concerned with your studies then it could be better than the state colleges. You will definitely get problems regarding infrastructure. But then you have to

I belongs to south india. Now already I am in 1st year B.Tech in kakathiya university in Telangana which is not good. I have written JEE Mains in january. Is it better option to get into that nits now?

Yes ! They are better to study, but it is not always, as some state colleges are also good equal to NITs ! Some candidate also attracted towards NITs for tag of NITian ! NIT is National level institution !
