Are packages good at Rourkela than Warangal for EEE course? My marks are 180 and rank is 9251.

Hi, Yes, the package and the placement both are good enough in NIT Rourkela. Both the colleges are good, but NIT R is better. As you got a good rank, you can easily get admission in NIT Rourkela. The closing rank for NITR for admission in electrical engineering is 11271. NIT, Rourkela is one of the best engineering colleges in India. With the best infrastructure and very good placements, it gives many opportunities to the students pursuing engineering in this institute. The college not only welcomes the students to pursue engineering but also offers higher study opportunities. It has an updated curriculum and the best faculty. Very good faculty and nice exposure. Always update the course which is helpful to the students. The course is always updated and the college has well-equipped labs and all kinds of modern technologies. Modern machines and equipment can be found in almost all the branches of engineering in the campus. Each branch of engineering has its own building. This college is one of the very few colleges to give admission in courses like ceramic, mining, and metallurgy. The faculty is very helpful. All the best for future. Thank you

Don't believe in the placement stats, as they are highly bloated. There is other side too. The highest package offered was INR 40 LPA (CTC), but that was an international offer (the company may or may not visit next year and hope you know PPP concept). In Domestic, the highest package was INR 28.5 LPA (CTC). CSE grads have even ended up with packages lower than INR 5 LPA. Only one student has gone for Ph.D from CSE. Packages are always given in CTC, while in-hand figures differs and are way too less, especially when the packages are high. For a package of the range of INR 2,030 LPA, you receive INR 1,214 LPA in hand (before tax deduction), rest are stock options (which take 23 years depending on company), bonuses and other onetime pay. Same way, the average is calculated on CTC. The reality is quite different.
