Placement scenario is the main thing that attracted me to this college. Its placement rate is almost 90%, and it will definitely increase in the future as the nearest city of our college, i.e., Mohali is emerging as a tech hub. Last year, the highest salary package offered was 31.77 LPA, and it was offered by Amazon. The average salary package offered was 8 LPA for the CSE department. The placements are mostly provided for the CSE department. Companies like IBM, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, TCS, Cognizant, Google, Microsoft, Tata, Mindtree, Every India and many others visited the campus for placements. Companies like Wipro, Cognizant and IBM visited twice in a year to recruit students. Students are hired for various posts like software developer, tester, tech assistant, tele caller, hardware trainee, etc. As far as the internships are concerned, it has a fair internship strategy. Students get internships from 2nd, 3rd and fourth years. Various internship updates are provided to students in their WhatsApp groups by the CRC department. It also has a placement cell common to both CGC and Chandigarh University. I am from the 1st year CSE department, and there are TPP (training and placement programme) classes right from the first year onwards to develop requisite skills for interviews and placements.
