From the fund, the university awards 5 eligible SC/ST students scholarships worth Rs. 50,000 each. The Indian Maritime University, Chennai-Mumbai awards the scholarships on a semester basis. Students who meet the requirements can apply for a number of scholarships and financial aid programmes offered by Campus MERI.
