Are SMU-DE (Sikkim Manipal University - Distance Education) Exams legally held in Mumbai.

Can I pursue BCA in SMU-DE in Mumbai (I. e. , outside Sikkim)? If yes, would that violate UGC DEB's policies that a Distance University must act only in its Jurisdiction? Are there any other legal hurdles that SMU-DE is facing?

    As per the latest directorate released in 2018, SMU-DE's degree programme is valid for applying for central government jobs in India. So all the degrees and diplomas conferred by Sikkim Manipal University-Distance Education are still valid throughout the country.
