Yes, definitely. At GIBS, students are actually given a lot of responsibility when it comes to events. From planning to execution, students handle most of the work themselves — coordinating, managing teams, handling speakers, promotions, everything. Faculty are always there in the background, guiding and stepping in only when needed.
What I like is that they trust students to take charge. You learn a lot by doing things on your own, making small mistakes, fixing them, and seeing the event come together. With faculty support, it never feels risky, but it still feels like real leadership experience, not just a classroom activity.
