Are students studying smart manufacturing allowed to participate in IT interviews?

    Depends. Many companies allow, but few do not.

    Talking about IITs, if a person is from Maths and Computing or some circuitry department (like EE and ECE), apart from Computer Science department, then he/she can sit for almost all the companies which is related to computer Science related fields.

    But if a person is from any other department (other than those mentioned above), he/she can sit for companies that look only for strong programming skills.
