    No, the transfer certificate (TC) and bonafide certificate are not the same. A TC is issued after a student has left the institution. The TC is an official document that certifies that a student has been a part of the institution within the mentioned dates. 

    However, a bonafide certificate is issued when the student is still studying in the same institution, given the class is also the same. The bonafide certificate can also be issued to the working individuals of any organisation. The bonafide certificate certifies that the student or the employee is still a trustworthy part of the institution or the organisation respectively.
