CGC University, Mohali (formerly known as Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) Jhanjeri currently has one campus based in Jhanjeri in the state of Punjab. CGC University, Mohali, is not a deemed university. In July 2025, the Punjab Assembly passed the CGC University, Mohali Bill, officially establishing it as a private university under state legislation. This status allows CGC to independently offer degrees and design its academic programs. It is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) as a private university, not as a deemed-to-be university.
