Are the placements for dual I.T. courses confined and based on specialisation option only even IT degree is present in the course?

Even IT degree is present and placements will be based on Btech (IT) of IIITA and MTech (your specialization) from IIITA. So basically you are expected to have even more skills than the Btech people they take from IIITA also. which in any case you will do.
