Chennai Institute of Technology does not have any set cutoff but those who have scored high in Class 12 are better. TNEA ranks are ascending through ranks and specialisation. Students whose average is more than 80 percent in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics have a good chance. Counselling rank is a very considerate factor during final seat nomination.

The TNEA application procedure to enter the Anna University in the year 2025 will probably start in June 2025. Applicants are expected to use legitimate TNEA portal to apply. At Anna University TNEA counselling is needed to get admission in BTech. It is the single medium by which students can get inducted into BTech/BE programs.
