Are the students with below 75% in CBSE boards eligible to take admission in NITs or IIITs if they clear JEE exam with qualifying score?

Dear, you should have at least 75% marks in boards for taking admission in NITs, IITs or IIITs (if you are from general/OBC category). The same is for SC/ST, but they have some relaxation of board's percentage. They should have at least 60% marks in boards. -

Admission to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs participating though Central Seat Allocation Board will be based on All India Rank subject to the condition that the candidate should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination. -
In JEE mains 2017 cut off of CBSE board is 75% and they have changed some rules as well.
