Are the subjects defined for a particular course? Can I choose my subjects of interest in B.Sc courses or do I have to choose one as given?

The combination is generally fixed. I feel that a student should be given all options to choose subjects. But, there are administrative reasons. So, the combination of subjects is given by University /Government.
