NIMCET syllabus focuses more on the theoretical and problem solving work of the students while BSc IT/BTech CS are more leaning into skill based and practical syllabus. Many topics which are known to be more theoretical are hence included into NIMCET syllabus while they are skipped from BSc IT/BTech understandably.

The NIMCET syllabus and the BSc IT/BTech CS syllabus are similar in many ways, but there are some important differences. The NIMCET syllabus focuses more on the theoretical aspects of computer science, while the BSc IT/BTech CS syllabus is more practical and hands-on. Additionally, the NIMCET syllabus includes some topics that are not typically covered in the BSc IT/BTech CS syllabus, such as discrete mathematics, probability and statistics, graph theory, and linguistics. Engineering classes typically teach the topics in more depth than the NIMCET syllabus and focus on developing problem-solving skills and applying theoretical concepts
