Are there any disadvantages of pursuing B.Tech through lateral entry?

Dear,
There is no disadvantage of pursuing B.Tech in a particular branch in the 2nd year because from the 2nd year only the particular specialisation study will start and in next 3 years you would obtain, skills, knowledge, internship, project work and mainly you will get the same B.Tech degree as
