There are exceptions or exemptions for the 60% eligibility requirement for admission to B.A. LLB at Government Law College, Salem. The college allows candidates who have passed the qualifying examination under 10+2 pattern with not less than 45% of marks, which is recognised by the syndicate as equivalent to Higher Secondary Examination of the Government of Tamil Nadu. Additionally, there is a concession of 5% marks in the minimum marks required for admission for S.C./S.T. candidates.
