Yes, there are exceptions or exemptions for the 60% eligibility requirement for admission to M.Sc. in Mathematics at JNU. For SC/ST and PWD candidates, the qualifying degree is relaxed to 50% or 5.5 out of 10 CGPA or equivalent. Additionally, students who have completed a four-year undergraduate programme in mathematics or a related field with at least 55% marks are also eligible to apply. Furthermore, students who have completed a one-year M.Sc. programme in mathematics or a related field can also apply, provided they have earned an undergraduate degree or completed a one-year M.Sc. programme before admission.
