There are no hidden charges over and above the course fee for M.Tech. in CSE at IIT Kharagpur. The expenses for accommodation and academics per semester are around Rs 34,000 to 35,000, and students receive a stipend of Rs 12,400 per month. The total expense for the 2-year M.Tech course at IITs, including fees and other expenses, was below 3 Lacs INR till 2019, but has increased to approximately Rs 7 Lacs for 2 years from 2020 onwards.
