It depends upon your college. Most of the students in IIM from Engineering sector. So, it depends upon your area of interest and if you are satisfied with your work, no one will stop you from placed in top company of the world.

B.Tech in ME and MBA are a good combination. The demand has been declining for MBA recently, but the demand for talented personnel will always be present. So, focus on developing skills and try to get a good college for the degree. The job opportunities are a lot, but you need to work hard for them.
