You need not need to buy any books. There are also magazines that provide tips to IAS/IPS aspirants. You may have to watch Indian and international news channels, and read newspapers/ magazines that deal with politics, economics, and business to keep a record of current affairs.

I do not think that there would any specific book but then there are many magazines available in the market which carry relative information, Other than this, I think it is better if you visit the site offered by the government which carries all the relevant information.
