Hi there, Your strategy of getting some work experience before going for MBA was right in my opinion. What I assume from your question is, you were planning to sit in placements but as of now you don't have any offer in hand. So my advise will go on this assumption. Since Covid-19 has crippled the economy badly, the fresh recruitment after lock-down period are in limbo at the moment however the scene may change, we never know. But surely, in next 2 to 3 years, when the economy starts to chug with new dynamics in almost all industries, there will be need of fresh talent. The management professionals will be in demand as the companies face the newer challenges, new dynamics and whole new set of technologies to work on in every function, be it HR or Marketing or operations and manufacturing. The huge advent of work from home will also become a new normal. To grapple with all this, new talent will surely be required. So I suggest you to go ahead and do your MBA, get equipped with higher and more relevant skills in two years and then go for a job. The advantages will be as follows: It will be a bit challenging to land up a normal job in middle of lockdown and even some months or even an year after that. Whole economy is looking sluggish, let alone new recruitment, even the current workforce is feeling the heat with many taking pay-cuts. Current skill level of graduation may not be enough for getting into a decent job in current scenario. So weigh your options, check your own skill level, your finances (which is very important) and then take a plunge. But if you decide on doing MBA, the do it from any of the following; Iims, FMs Delhi, SIBM, ISB, MDI, XLRI/XIM, SP Jain, LPU Punjab, IBS Hyderabad, LBSIM, IIFT Great lakes Chennai, and many IITs in no particular order. Since most of them have selection criteria like entrance exam / interviews etc. , do your research on your eligibility. Wish you all the best. DVD.

Hello! I would advise you to go for MBA rather than sitting for a job. An MBA helps one develop skills that are sought after for higher level positions. It forces you out of your comfort zone and challenges you to become the best you can be. Entrepreneurship: Many students opt for an MBA because they wish to become entrepreneurs, and they want to learn how to run a business. MBA is Masters degree programme that concentrates on refining general management competencies with an emphasis on business skills accounting, employee relations. It is worth the effort, when graduate plan to work in business related field in mgt. Also for those working in other industries or studied sciences, you need good knowledge in administration for relationship purpose. With this you also need to make sure you choose a right academic partner for your MBA. Whenever we talk about MBA institute, the only point which comes in our mind is IIM, But what if I say it is not just IIM there are lot of other options as well. Most MBA aspirants target IIM, but what if you get best of the facilities in your reach. Punjab is the hub of education in India since last few years.
