As a parent how should we develop grade6/7 students for competitive exams of mainstream engineering/medical colleges.

My son is in grade 6 CBSE school studying in Saudi Arabia. He is very focused in studies and has inclination for Olympiads but is not able to get proper guidance. Do we need him to have 5 years of schooling in Mumbai or any part of India to be considered in local quota of admissions.
