As a PhD student abroad, does college or university give stipend to student?

8 years agoFunding is available to the maximum. But, the problem is in giving a good picture of ourselves. It needs a lot of preperatory work to be eligible. If our particulars are good, we will surely receive assistance. In India, Scholars are to qualify in UGC and CSIR tests, but the scholarship amount is very good -

This depends from country to country. In US , universities offer full funding that is annual stipend to Ph.D students. In UK it is hard, and you must look for external funding, however universities do offer scholarships and what they call bursaries. Similarly in Canada it depends from university to university, you may be allowed to work part time or eligible for partial funding from the university. As a first step, start researching on the universities and decide where you want to study. Hope this helps.
