As an Indian student, do I need to submit a financial proof to get a residence permit at University of Cologne?

Yes Indian students are required to submit financial proof to get residence permit. Financial proof will show if student is able to cover all his living costs or not. Students can either submit documents of a blocked account or declaration of commitment or a scholarship grant or bank statements.
