As per govt. rules, is it necessary to do D.El.Ed for teaching nursery to 8th classes? What if one has done B.Ed?

Yes, he can. D.El.Ed is Diploma in elementary education and B.Ed is Bachelors in education.

As a student of engineering you can choose science and math. It will be comfortable for you but you can choose humanities also.
