you need to study 10 hours daily for 10-12 month you should have to start study of general study , you can prefer spectrum book for General study, CSR magazine for current affairs , maths from6-10 class this is first step for preparation for UPSC exam

Its not about how many hours per day but about preparing the entire syllabus, making notes, multiple revisions and solving previous year's papers under time control. Now it depends upon the total time available, your own IQ and your focus.

Hi, it is not in terms of hours but basically whether you are able to grasp the subject or not matters. there are students who crack toughest of exams but studying 2-3 hours regularly and many other who even after putting in 10-12 hours regularly, not able to crack even simplest of exams.
