To get a good B-school you will be required to crack CAT, MAT, etc. I suggest you join some coaching institute. Work on your quantitative skills, verbal skills, etc. Develop a habit of reading English newspaper.

I think that you are able to take the exam for MBA if you prepare well in your one year gap. You can take MBA entrance exam but be sure that you have 50% and more in your B.Com. Good luck.
