They were also involved in new product development and its analysis pertaining to nutrition, shelf life, and cost analysis. Emphasis on case studies and inter-personal-based teaching to develop skills in analytical thinking and reflective judgment by reading and discussing complex, real-life scenarios. Some achievements: 1. 8 students got a placement in VLCC Wellness. 2. 2 students got placed in British Biologicals. 3. 1 student got placed in Tagore hospital, Jalandhar, Punjab. 4. 1 student is pursuing a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology IIFT Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, India. 5. 1 student selected for Ph.D. in Nutrition and Dietetics in University of Mississippi. The highest salary package offered was 31 LPA. Almost 80 to 85% of the students got internships from our course. In today's world where junks are all around, people are becoming more conscious about their health and to achieve that good health they will need a dietetian and a nutritionist. So, I SEE this field of Nutrition and Dietetics has a great scope in the near future. Chandigarh university is no doubt giving us so much prospect to understand this course a little more. We can explore, experiment and be innovative with the products and hence get to learn more and more. The industrial visits, field works let us learn about the materials practically and also learn about the society choice and also improves our communication skills and general knowledge.
