Lovely Professional University has created an excellent reputation in the few years of its establishment. It is located in Punjab and offers a great variety of courses. The active advertisement on various media platforms is partly responsible for bringing good fame to the university. But, the question remains, is the university all that it claims to be? There is no doubt that the university gives students exposure, but is it suitable for Computer Science Engineering? CSE is a popular branch, and students are fighting for the limited seats in CSE across various universities. Before we conclude whether LPU is suitable for CSE, here are a few factors that you need to take into account. Don't get influenced by the ads. The ads shown on TV and social media are solely for marketing. None of the facts in those ads are real, and they usually exaggerate the figures and statistics. For instance, they show that their students get placed in big companies like Google and Microsoft. That is entirely false. None of those companies come for placement in LPU. The students who get placed in Google do so through their hard work. You need to pass entrance exams like GATE to pursue a master's in engineering. After that, you need to work for a few years and gain experience before you get a good post in a big company. The placement scenario is still evolving. You might think that such a big university must be attracting many companies for placement, but the situation is entirely different. Very few companies look for placement in LPU. And the only good companies that have a requirement of 4-5 students. There is heavy competition as the numbers of jobs are less. You need to acquire additional skills to increase your chances of getting placed. And even then, you have to depend solely on your capabilities to get a good job. The fees are reasonable. When you compare the fees of LPU with other universities, it fares better than most. So, considering the fees, LPU is a good option for you. It has no hidden charges or donations, which is the best thing. Many prominent universities charge a lot in the name of contributions, but LPU doesn't do that. Definitely, LPU is the best choice due to its good placement record and Hi-Tech campus. LPU offers CSE with honours also which give more knowledge as it offers some extra subject, which is industry-oriented which helps to enhance the technical knowledge of the students. Campus Without a doubt, it's a beautiful place for education with a serene environment. The university campus spreads over 600 acres in boundary on the outskirts of Jalandhar and houses over 30,000 students. The campus has all the facilities a student can ask for be it Food Canteens, Gym and Parks. Courses LPU offers a lot of courses B.Tech, MBA, Hotel Management and LL.B. Are some of the popular courses. When students of so many streams interact with each other it helps in expanding the mind not only in the course the student is currently pursuing but also in other courses. Faculty Most of the faculty members are from IIT, IIIT, NIT, IIM or from elite Schools (India/Abroad. They have a decade of experience. The faculty is really helpful. Even they help students after regular university hours In every section they have 4060 Students which helps teachers to focus on focus on each student. Placements On average, more than 600 companies visit every year for various industry-academia activities and campus recruitment of students from LPU. LPU provides placements to the maximum it has record-breaking placements in MBA approximately 98% of students got placed in top companies in the year 2020. Moreover, CSE students were placed in top companies, with a package of 42 per annum in Microsoft was a highlight in the newspaper and in news. In CSE the placement record is almost 100%. One of my friends did B.Tech from LPU and now she is working in Google in USA.

IT sector providing best placement at all over the world and India also provide very best IT sector jobs with good salary package. Many companies/organizations are present here for select Students, that's means if you don't have interest to study higher and want to do job after B.Tech CSE then IT sector is the best for you. When you compare the fees of LPU with other universities, it fares better than most. So, considering the fees, LPU is a good option for you. It has no hidden charges or donations, which is the best thing. Many prominent universities charge a lot in the name of contributions and let me tell you that LPU is well known for B.Tech CSE. No one can deny that many prestigious companies for placement in LPU,. Some of them are Microsoft, amazon, google, cognizant, The Ritza Cartlon (USA), Goldman Sachs, etc. Also, nearly 100 companies that recruit from IITs and NITs also recruit from LPU, ultimately placements here very well. The highest Package, Availed by Engineering Student Miss Tanya Arora, bagged 42 LPA ( batch 2020) by Microsoft. Thapar and CU must be good but I know about the university in my vicinity that is LPU. My nephew is dong B Tech from LPU hence I can give you an overview of the course and the university. The programme of B Tech CSE is LPUs forte. This programme aims at producing graduates with a wide understanding of the Computer Science and Engineering Discipline so that they can be open and adaptable to upcoming changes. The programme aims at providing the students a competitive edge through robust curriculum and hands-on learning in niche technologies to develop competence that caters to the requirements of the industry.
