Identify your actual interests, aptitudes, strengths, and weaknesses and match it with the choices you have to shortlist the apt one for you. Choose a field wisely. B.Com can be good for me but not for you or vice -versa. Same goes for BBA. Each course has its own importance and need. You will find ample of opportunities if you did well in that course. The opportunities are not so much within the type of degree, as it is within the individual who has the degree. Opportunities are always there. It is up to you to take advantage of them through creative and critical thinking, assertiveness, perseverance, commitment, positive attitude, and the ability to think through long-term benefits. The most important and critical issue is your ability to create a vision for yourself. In other words, a clearly articulated picture of the future you intend to create for yourself. After you take hold of this vision, you must then develop a road-map that will bring that vision into reality. Then, you can better determine what type of degree is more beneficial and meets your overall career goals and objectives. Thus, the following:. Develop the will to change circumstances. Hi, After 12th you can go for BBA or B.Com. The eligibility for both in most of the top universities is passing with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2. If you want to go to management then you must go for BBA. There are ample of career opportunities after BBA in different sectors of industries like Banking and Finance, Investment Banking, multinationals, foreign banks, public sector undertakings, in effect the whole corporate sector offer bright opportunities to management graduates. The careers in management offer one of the best remuneration packages and perk everywhere. If we talk about B.Com the students are exposed to various fields like: accounting, taxation, business laws, corporate laws, auditing, banking, insurance, finance and retail management. You can either opt for B.Com. B.Com (Hons) (3 years) or Dual degree B.Com (Hons) MBA (5 years) or integrated B.Com -MBA (4 years) and also you can opt for B.Com Management Accounting and International Financial (3 years). So you can go for any of the above depending upon your interest. Hello Muskan, According to the best of my knowledge, I would like to suggest you that both BBA and B.Com have their own merits. It depends entirely on your interest before choosing either of the courses. If making a career in management is your priority, then you should go for BBA as it is the foundation of management and has been specifically designed for MBA aspirants. B.Com, on the other hand, is much more diversified and has a wider scope for specialisation for post-graduate study. Thus, it is advisable to first chalk out your skills, aptitude and area of interest before taking up any of the courses. Instead of looking at the money-making aspect while choosing a course, it is more feasible to choose a course that will give you long-term benefits rather than short-term.
