BTech in Electronics&Comm Engg in 2005. Presently working in a Telco MNC having 7-yr work experience. Want to pursue PhD in US. Pls guide.

To enrich my knowledge n career opportunities I decided to go for a PhD in an esteemed university abroad. Regarding dat some questions roaming in my mind... 1) Is it possible to directly enrol into PhD frm BTech? 2) do my wrk exp. help in this regard? 3) which varsities to look for in E&C?
