Hi All. Thanks @Aru chopra for inviting me to the discussion. I feel, Ethics, these are internal characteristics of any organisation who works around them. Ethics are both Positive and Negative and organisations define which route to follow. Practically all the organisations follow both positive and negative ethics in some way or the other due to cut throat competition. When the organisation becmes successful then all negative ethics are also being terms as positive ethics.
Ethics are also dependent on the employees on how they follow the rules and principals and simultanenously on the management on how much they pressurize their staff

Ethics refer to the basic principles of moral values that are expected to be followed by every citizen in a civilized society, aiming to maintain tranquility and virtues. Any organization whether profit-making or service-oriented needs to abide by ethical principles so that the entire nation is benefitted. The major sources of ethical values are knowledge imbibed through religious sermons and vedic books, culture and law. These systems influence every organization and have become the guiding principles for the individuals working in the organization.

    Dr.Goutam Chatterjee its good explanation
Unethical business in India became a recognized phenomenon during the second World War. Academic/journalistic/legal concern with ethics has become visible only during the nineties. Corruption-of-the-poor and corruption-of-the-rich need to be distinguished – especially in the context of globalization. The danger of attributing unethical practices to system failure is recognized. It is also important to bring to bear on intellectual property rights the more fundamental principle of natural property rights. Consciousness ethics will be more crucial than just intellectual ethics.

Thanx@aniket for the invite. It is really surprising that our esteemed panelists have made ethical practices directly proportional to bribe quotient and some have been naive enough to proclaim that other than ethical practices, top companies wouldn't have survived 100 years. First of all define the business and ethics. The ethical issues can be categorized as Ethical HR Practices and Ethical
Standards. The Unethical Practices can be viewed from both the legal and political aspects. Business Sector consists of nine types of businesses, namely, Manufacturing, IT, Export, Processing, Service, Retail, Repair, Medical/Clinical, and Others.

One of the business attitudes in India is that business cannot be done without paying bribes, hence receiving kickbacks is justified which is sad. To make Indian organizations globally competitive at par with the multinationals building an ethical culture is a necessity.
