    Hi,
    There are different courses in footwear design i.e certificate, diploma, graduate and postgraduate diploma.
    To be eligible for undergraduate/diploma courses in footwear manufacturing technology, shoe making or design, one needs to pass plus two.
    Advanced diploma course in footwear technology require the candidate to be a graduate in any stream or diploma holder in leather, engineering or Footwear technology.
    However, footwear technology courses offered as B.Tech / M.Tech programmes, are only open to science/engineering students.

    Yes, To pursue a Post-Graduate Diploma/Degree in footwear design one must be a graduate in any stream. Admission into most of these courses is made through entrance exams. FDDI is one of the best institute in shoe designing course.
