Can a B.Tech graduate pursue M.Sc in maths? Which university offers this course?

Hi, M.Sc. (Mathematics): Eligibility The eligibility criteria for this course in colleges like Christ University-Bangalore, St. Stephen's College-New Delhi, Loyola College-Chennai, Mount Carmel College-Bangalore is graduation in any discipline with Mathematics and English as a main subjects with minimum 50% aggregate however institutes prefer students with a B.Sc. /B.E. /B.Tech degree. M.Sc. (Mathematics): Admission Usually the admission process starts in the month of March/April where the colleges announce the notification and application forms both online and offline. Direct Admission Few universities takes admission in M.Sc. courses through merit basis as well as through entrance test, like Delhi University reserves 50% of its seats for merit basis admissions. Entrance Exam: Colleges like Loyola College, Chennai, IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi conducts entrance test for taking admissions into the course. Students selected through entrance test would further have to go through personal interview before final selection. The entrance test consists of objective type questions and the syllabus for the same is usually from: Real Analysis Linear and Abstract Algebra Calculus Topology Lateral Entry in M.Sc. in Mathematics Various Universities provides lateral entry into the course but has an eligibility criteria of having a graduation degree with mathematics as main subject. One can apply to the universities and show them the documents, pay the fees as required by the college. Some of the institutes providing it are IIT Kanpur and IIT Delhi.
