Can a bhms graduate pursuing neuroscience be employed in a hospital as a consultant after receving the degree?

I am a BHMS student and i love helping patients but my true love is neuroscience ,neuropathology etc. If it were possible for a BHMS student to be a neurologist thats what i would to be ,anyways neuroscience is possible so will i be employed at hospitals? Because most neuroscientists go for research
