No, you should have a maths background in your 12 to appear for JEE.

The admission to all the B.Tech programs in NITs is done through JEE Mains only. Therefore, you will have to appear in maths paper to clear JEE to seek admission in B.Tech biotechnology at NIT Warangal. You may appear in maths subject as an external candidate in your 12th board if you have already

As per current policy Diplomaholders are not eligible to seek admission in NITs based on JEE Mains score.
