Up to you. Depends on why you need a Ph.D. It is an investment in time, effort, money and resources. You have to weigh the benefits of getting a Ph.D. with that of your needs. Then you can go for it. As I can see your discipline so much specialised, a Ph.D. under normal circumstances will be very valuable.
