can a civil engineering student go in software line? If so means how? whether we have to do any preparation for that?

Certainly you can go in to software field , first you should look for the Companies visiting your college for Campus placement or else you should start practicing one of the programming language like C++ . C++ will certainly help you immensely in Software Field .
