    LPU has a great academic policy of lateral entry for benefit of students who have studied diplomas after their matriculation. Lateral entries are supported in LPU but in few specific areas like Engineering, Management and commerce etc. LPU is an outstanding place to pursue your studies.     Yes definitely you can apply for a lateral entry programme, here i am sharing the eligibility criteria of the programme with you i.e. Pass with 60% aggregate marks in Diploma (Engg.) (any stream) (3 years after 10th or 2 yrs after 10+2(Non Medical)) or B.Sc.(Non-Medical) or B.Sc.(Computer Science) or equivalent.

    Dear aspirant,
    If you take admission after diploma then you will get admission directly into second year of engineering. According to the UGC and AICTE rules, you can get admission to the second year of degree engineering based on your performance in Diploma Engineering (Polytechnic).
    Eligibility for B.Tech Lateral Entry:
    For Diploma Holders: Must have passed qualifying examination from an AICTE approved institution with at least 60% marks (55% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category). Also these students should clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics/Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year engineer

    Yes, why not! For Diploma Students there are separate process of admission into direct second year(DSY) of engineering. According to your Diploma marks and respective cutoff for a particular branch, you can apply through multiple CAP rounds in Maharashtra State. Branch is not barrier here, you can apply for any branch irrespective of which branch you are currently studying in your Diploma.

    Candidates who have completed their engineering diploma programs can apply for the B. Tech Lateral Entry programs. In most engineering colleges, there's a reserved seat for lateral entry. As per my knowledge, LPU also offers a lateral entry program. The Eligibility of B.tech Civil Lateral Entry is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in Diploma (Engineering) (any stream) 3 years after 10th or 2 yrs. after 10+2 (Non-Medical) or Diploma in Architectural Assistantship or B.Sc. (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Computer Science) or equivalent.
    Engineering school has been ranked 66th among the top Engineering Universities and colleges at LPU of India.

    Why not , you can definatly do B.tech after diploma. If you done your diploma then you can do B.tech lateral entry

    Yes, any students having Diploma can apply for B.Tech and it's called as lateral entry.

    Yes, Diploma students can easily apply for B.Tech through LEET (Lateral Entry) in this you will be given admission directly in 3rd semester.

SOT PDEU application forms are out in the month of January. Candidates applying for BTech admission at SOT PDEU can start applying from January. The application forms are usually open till end of May, therefore candidates can also apply once Class 12 or JEE Main results are announced.
