    Absolutely, you can start learning financial modeling and valuation in your first year of college; it is a smart move, and you will have more time to build essential skills for financial modeling and valuation.

    But, my suggestion for you is to get a guide and mentorship, because in the early stage, learning leaves a gap between, and sometimes you may get stuck, which is problematic, as it affects you when you are in the interview stage.

    Sure you can however I always suggest it's important to find yourself a mentor/guide when initially diving into financial Modeling . How about looking at some online courses ? Off the top of my memory my friend pursued his stuff on IIM Skills. And he had only good things to say about the course. It will take time effort dedication but you can definitely pull it off.
