Can a friend of mine pursue M.Tech in mechatronics after completing BE in mechanical engineering?

He is interested in mechatronics but he wants to do a PG degree only in that.

    Mechatronics is an interdisciplinary branch of engineering. Mechanical Engineering grads are eligible to seek admission in M.Tech or MS Mechatronics.

    M.Tech Mechatronics or Master of Technology Mechatronics is a postgraduate engineering degree course of 2 years. The subjects taught include topics such as Industrial Management, Mechatronic Systems and its applications, Wireless Communications, Control systems, Signal processing etc. The minimum eligibility criteria for M.Tech. Mechatronics in most universities is that the applicant should have passed B.Sc. /B.E. /B.Tech in relevant subjects with 60% or equivalent CGPA.
