Can a humanities student apply for B.Sc home science?

Dear Mallika,
The basic educational requirement for getting admission to B.Sc. Home Sciences offered by maximum institutes is 10+2 from any streams. However, some institutes may also require Science subjects in intermediate. -
B.Sc. Home Science basic eligibility:
1) Qualifying 10+2 examination or its equivalent in any stream. Few reputed colleges demand Physics, Chemistry, Biology as subjects studied at 10+2 level.
2) Few colleges also demand that students should have secured at least 50% marks at their 10+2 level and also conduct entrance exams for admission into B.Sc.(Home Science) course.
3) Selection in the degree course is taken on basis of merit I.e total marks aggregated in the final exam at 10+2 level and the entrance exam.
