Can a non Jindal School of Journalism and Communication BSc (Hons) student receive MCM scholarship through JSAT?

No, only candidates who manage to secure admissions into the BSc (Hons) course at Jindal School of Journalism and Communication will be considered for the MCM scholarship. Candidates are not required to appear for JSAT to gain admissions and can appear for the exam after becoming a student of JSJC.

Although, it is not mandatory to attempt all questions in JSAT but it is recommended not to skip a section altogether as it will reflect negatively on your performance.

To be eligible for JSAT, the candidate needs minimum 60% marks in class 12. Candidates appearing in  Class 12 exam or awaiting result can also apply.

JSAT application fee is non refundable. Candidates cannot seek refund of the registration fee under any circumstances.

There is no passing marks in JSAT. Any candidate who scores more than 0 is eligible for admission. However, selection will be done on the basis of cut offs. 

JSAT score is valid for admission for one year. If a candidate appear for JSAT 2026, they can use the score for admission in 2026 only. If they drop this year then they will have to appear for JSAT next year.
