Can a person get admission in a good MBA college next year on the basis of previous year's CAT score?

Currently the validity of CAT score is for 1 year. Therefore, if candidate fails in graduation degree in year he or she scores well in CAT, candidate can not get admission in IIM.

After getting pass in passed in repeater exam of graduation, The CAT RANKING previous year can he try that next year or he or she should write again CAT exam
