Can a Poletechnic deploma help me to get a job?

I have just give the h.s exam(with science),now i am thinking to join in polytechnic .i am of general cast,i have to hard work for jee and i am not sure to get government collage,so i think to join in polytechnic,can it be good to get a job earliar?
