Yes, if a student deserves and has what it takes to be a MITian or an IITian, he/she will be in. Firstly, don't compare MIT and IITs, MIT is one of the world's toughest school to get into. Apart from brilliant academic performance you must have an outstanding profile, research orientation and have innovative skills to be in MIT.
