    Yes, you can do that. Banking is open to all and economics is all about money and banking, distribution of income. You can go for IBPS conducted by private banks to give jobs in banks like HDFC, ICICI and also you can give exams for SBI.

    Yes, you can get into banking sector. The eligibility criteria required for banking exams is graduation. So, after completing BA, you are eligible to apply for IBPS PO, IBPS Clerk, SBI PO, SBI Clerk, IBPS RRB, etc. You can start your preparation for banking exams.

    If you are from economics background, you can even go for RBI after giving a competitive exam.

    Yes, it is quite possible but for government bank job, you need to clear Bank PO exam.
