From this year, Tamil Nadu government has announced that there will be no entrance exam but students will be admitted based on their marks of 12th. But then there are many other eligibility conditions. Basically, it's restricted to those having domicile of Tamil Nadu. I would advise you to have a look at the concerned webpage of Anna University.
