Unfortunately there is a need of domicile certificate during applying for GUJCET and if one has no domicile certificate then he or she can't fill the form so outside student are not allowed to apply in exam

 Fundamentally, Gujrat is also following examples of most other states in allowing only domiciles of Gujrat to appear for and get admission in engineering colleges in Gujrat.
 There is detailed information available on the website of Gujrat Board Of Secondary Education who conducts this exam in an offline mode. Interested students can download this PDF file and read its content at leisure. But suffice to say that loosely speaking only Gujratis will be allowed to compete and take admission in engineering colleges in Gujrat. There is of course the other side also. Unfortunately as per eligibility criteria outside Gujarat students cannot appear for GUJCET.
 Following is eligibility criteria:-
 All the candidate must be citizens of India.The candidates who are applying for GUJCET 2017 must be minimum of 17 years of age. Applicants must have passed class XII from State Gujarat Board. You must secure at least 60% in qualifying examination to appear in the test. You must have science subjects in class XII subjects such as physics, chemistry as compulsory subjects and mathematics/biology in their annual examination and 40% weight will be given for GUJCET 2017 examination.  No, outside Gujarat students cannot take GUJCET exam, here is the eligibility criteria:
 The applicants who are applying for admission under GUJCET will be required to meet some standard qualifications. These qualifications whether related to age, nationality or academics will have to be satisfied by the applicants following which he/she will be termed eligible for admission.
